Since Adam’s rebellion, the world has
continuously sinned and fallen, short of God's glory, continuing against God. Nevertheless, “His story” is the stage for God’s salvation demonstrating the almighty power and sovereignty of God’s gospel. Owing to “Supersessionism” claims that “Israel” has been completely replaced by the church, having lost its status as God’s chosen people, having been rejected by God, and even would never be saved in the future. However, according to Romans chapters 9-11, God’s promises for Israel will never failed, and has never forsaken or abjured Israel, and God will never regret His election and calling for Israel. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to use the approach of “Spiral Hermeneutical Circle”, taking Romans chapters 9-11 as the scope in order to explore fallacies of “Supersessionism,” having been developed and extended by Antisemitism from the early church over 2,000 years, and to clarify the right path so that Christian churches are able to correctly understand the truth about the God’s soverengity on Israel’s continuing hardness, stray and unbelief regarding the mystery of gospel in the Bible.
This paper contains seven chapters. In addition to questions, motive, approach, scope, premise, and purpose of this study in first chapter, the second chapter reviews some of “Supersessionism” materials releted to Jews, discussing the sub-topics of the historical status of the Jews, and clarifies the blood-and-tears history between geltile christian’s church and Jews. Chapter 3 overviews a few Jewish topics from the epistle of Romans, explaining some important historical and literary criticism regarding Romans, especially chapters 9-11. Then, chapters 4-6 deal with God’s promises from Romans 9-11 including, God’s grace and promises from Israel’s election during OT and their misery during NT about their continuing fainting and stumble on Christ’s gospel, and Israel’s historic ultimate destiney of God’s grace and calling. Finally, the last chapter reflects and criticizes on “Supersessionism” and its fallacies, also summarizeing the full text. The conclusion is that until the Gentilities has come into the kingom of God, all Israel will be saved by the Zion-deliverer. At that Day, all the elect of Christ’s gentile saints and all Messanic Jews and Israelities will be converted to Trinity the Almighty. In short, God has never forsworn to His chosen people Israel nor Israel has been forsaked by God. Consequently, the assertions of “Supersessionism” are deviant from the truth of the Bible and are incredible indeed!
